Can you see the core of a culture?

Streets are litter free

The outer layers reveal your first impressions, a clean image when it comes to trash.

They won't tolerate litterbugs.

You can be issued with a spot fine of £150, if caught littering, or even more if it goes to court.

They recycle religiously, and generally tend to be on top of the trash problem.

Culture should be reflected in every aspect of a society

take this layby for example:

Catering for most of the traffic from villages around South Darenth, Eynsford and West Kingsdown.

It also serves HGV's using the M25. First impressions show nothing out of place.

Let's dig a little deeper into this layby at West Kingsdown...

Too much trash, obviously due to lack of bins.

Tatty old bins need replacing!

This layby near Brands Hatch is fast becoming a dumping ground. The layby stinks of human waste, placed in plastic bags and plastic bottles. That is a big problem.

The other problem is the lack of bins which encourages litter fouling. I see an impasse.

Are the council refusing to remove certain types of waste, and being asked to go beyond the call of duty? This careless attitude of motorists, damages the environment, and tarnishes the British 'clean ethic'.

What do you think? Is this type of behaviour demotive of Brand's Hatch, a British Racing showpiece. Do you think it promotes or demotes the area? Leave a comment..

The laybys at Caterham, show similar issues..

Only two tiny bins could be spotted at this huge layby!

Bins too small, and too few in number.

More bins, and 'do not litter' warning signs

Racing plays a huge part in the British Culture- it's in their blood

A cleaner layby would show-case Brands Hatch
